 We made the most of the last of the chicken scratch.

 April the goat had the pleasure of being milked into this bucket, which was then carried by the tiniest farmers to the...

 ...Piggies! Who enjoyed it immensely!  

It may be time to get a larger bowl for the piggies.

 Then it was time for a snack.  Every one lined up like bumps on a log to enjoy some well deserved popcorn.

Everyone got a chance to love on the horses.  And feel their soft noses.

 Lady Bug's hoof needed a bit of attention.

 Those who help groom get to ride...

 ...first!

 There's more farm fun in the orchard.

 The bees buzzed busily overhead in the fruit trees.

 And the young farmers enjoyed a dramatic reading and a picnic in their shade.

 Time for MUD!!!

 Some of the kids had to be creative to get close to the mud with out getting dirty.

 When it was time to go home Farmer Rosemary gave everyone a good wash down in the cold hose.  It was a good day on the farm!

Respite Care, Perennial Luncheon

 I had the pleasure of attending a fundraising luncheon for this great organization today and meet some pretty cool kids and the people who love and take care of them.

 The kids passed out compasses to all of the guests and got lots of smiles in return.

Ryder and the Ladies

 Grandma Rita came to town and was surprised with a special photo shoot with her beautiful daughter and the very energetic Ryder.  

We started the tour with the baby plants getting ready for this years garden.  This little guy is a corn plant.

 I'd say they look alike, wouldn't you?

 This one was Ryder's idea.

 When you play hard you have to drink lots of water.

 Grandma Rita is lots of fun!

 Everyone got in a good Ryder hug.

 And Jessica did what it took to keep Ryder laughing hysterically.

 Then Captain America showed up.

 And demonstrated his flying skills.

Laughing Buck Farm School

 Spring is a lovely time on the farm.  Bees are buzzing, baby animals are around and seeds are sprouting. And there are always chickens.

 Who doesn't love to get their arms wrapped around a chicken?

 Even the Moms get into chicken catching.  You really feel like you have accomplished something with your day if you have caught a chicken.

 Sometimes team work is a good Chicken chasing strategy.

 This one managed to escape the chicken yard and all of the adoring children.

 Next the new piggies.  If this picture could talk it would squeal.  Loudly.

 This is Coconut.  His nose is rubbery and his hair is far from soft.

 We all learned how you catch a pig.  Hind leg.  Good to know.

 This is Pistachio.  He doesn't squeal quite as loud as Coconut.

 Have you ever tasted milk minutes out of the goat?  It's pretty good.

 Time to give Sassy some attention.

 And every one was very busy in the mud kitchen.

 Then everyone headed to the orchard to have something to eat.

 Clean hands are important but if you do happen to have a few farm germs on you, they are the best germs in town.

 A story with lunch.

 Out to the field to build a teepee and plant some peas.

 Then we tasted some arugula and violets.  I'm not sure they were a hit.

 Everyone worked together to water the peas.

 This guy gets the best dressed farmer prize.
